September 13th is National Peanut Day!!

September 13th is National Peanut Day.  peanuts are native to South America and are actually legumes like peas, beans and lentils.  They were once thought to be unhealthy but recent studies suggest that they can reduce cardiovascular disease and lower triglycerides in the body.  Peanuts are high in both protein and fiber and can help curb hunger.
They are the main ingredient in Peanut Butter.  Celebrate today by eating peanuts or why not make some Homemade Peanut Butter?
